General Requirements

• ITEC/SCAAP Training Form, complete IN ALL RESPECTS
• Sufficient knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Less than 45 years of age

Procedure:

Applicants should complete the application form [97 kb. *.doc] in English, which consists of two parts. The form can be obtained in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Peru and Bolivia, respectively, or can be downloaded from this page. The application should be made in triplicate, along with educational and professional certificates and 3 passport-sized photographs. The applicant has to fill up the initial part (Name of the Institute, Course and its duration) and Part I, which contains:

• Personal Particulars (Names, nationality, date of birth, sex, marital status, residential address and telephones);
• Educational / Professional qualification;
• Details of employment;
• Name, address and telephone number of the present employment;
• Details of courses attended, if any, outside the applicant's country;
• Applicants have to include a brief description (100 words), indicating the interest in receiving the training;
• Signature and simple declaration by the applicant confirming that all the information in the form is true and that he/she will carry out the instructions and conditions stipulated by the host Government.

The Part II of the form is to be completed only by the official authorized by the Nominating Government. Generally, an officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will complete this part. However, it can also be completed by an officer of INABEC (Peru). Applications should be sent to the Embassy through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This part includes a sworn affidavit, signature, name, designation and seal of the official authorized on behalf of the nominating Government indicating that:

• Educational and professional certificates are authentic;
• Medical certificates and X-ray reports state that the nominee is medically fit;
• The applicant has sufficient knowledge of spoken and written English;
• The nominee has not availed of ITEC training facilities in India in the past.

A response of acceptance in the course is normally received in 4 to 6 weeks. Therefore, the applicant should apply for the scholarship 8 or 10 weeks before the commencement of the course.
