The Consular Section of the Embassy of India provides a variety of Consular Services to both Indian and non-Indian citizens. These include passport and related services, issue of visas, attestation of documents, other consular services, notary services, etc.
The Consular Section is located in the Embassy premises (Av. Salaverry 3006, San Isidro, Lima Tel: 51-1-4602289 / 2616006 / 4610371, Fax: 51-1-4610374, e-mail: consular@indembassy. org.pe). India does not permit dual citizenship. All Indian Citizens who have taken up Peruvian/Bolivian citizenship, automatically lose their Indian citizenship. Such persons should therefore surrender their Indian passports to the Embassy on taking up foreign citizenship. Failure to do so or attempting to get passport services even after taking up foreign citizenship is an offence under the Passports Act, 1967, and can lead to penalties, including a ban on all future entry into India.
All resident Indian nationals in Peru and Bolivia are encouraged to register online.
According to new immigration regulations, the entry stamp from the immigration authorities indicating the date of entry in Peru on the passport is mandatory. In the case of loss/issue of new passport, all foreigners are required to get their immigration entry stamp affixed, after paying the requisite fees, on the new passport before departure from Peru. The procedure could be completed at Department of Immigration and Naturalization – DIGEMIN, Services for Foreigners Ave. España 730, Breña, Tel 2001000.
A biometric enrolment procedure, comprising of taking a webcam facial image and a 10-digit fingerprint scan, has been introduced by the Embassy for all visa applicants between the ages of 12 and 70.
Submission of Applications:
Visa/Passport/Miscellaneous Consular services have to be applied in person at the Embassy. Completed application form along with all required documents and fee should be submitted at the Embassy by the applicant. The fees have to be paid in cash (exact amount) only in US Dollars by the applicant. Payment in Soles, Credit Cards, Cheques, etc. are not acceptable.
Completed applications, along with necessary documents and fees should be deposited and routed to Embassy through Honorary Consulate General of India in La Paz, Bolivia whose contact details are given below:

In order to confirm that the applicant is residing in Peru or in Bolivia, person applying by courier should also send a letter from a Peruvian or a Bolivian Resident certifying that the applicant is a resident of Peru or Bolivia, as the case may be.
Alternatively, the applicants in Bolivia can also send their applications to the Embassy, by following the instructions given below:
The Embassy of India in Peru has opened a bank account in Bolivia in which the applicants should deposit only the fee in exact amount and NO courier charges or whatsoever should be included. Thereafter, a scanned copy of the Deposit Receipt should be sent by email to us at email@example.com. Henceforth, no cash will be accepted. The details of the bank account are as under:

The application form, passport and other documents should, however, be couriered to the Embassy separately at applicant’s cost. When the service has been rendered and ready for dispatch, the Embassy will inform the applicant to arrange a pre-paid courier for collection from Lima.
