Senior Government of India officials to visit Peru - March 20-25, 2017
A 22-member delegation of senior officers of the Government of India, who are participating in the Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA) at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Delhi will be visiting Peru on a study tour from 20 to 25 March 2017. The primary focus of the tour includes the study of Peru’s Political and Administrative System, Economic and Governance Reforms, Institutions of Local Governance, Infrastructure Development, Environmental Management, Energy Security, Urban Management and Agriculture and Industry Interface. Defence, Disaster Management, Transport and Civic Services Management, Tourism Promotion and Culture are other areas of interest to the group.
The delegation will have an interaction with the Escuela Nacional de Administracion Publica and with the senior officials of the Peruvian government. They will also be visiting Cusco, Machu Picchu and Nazca during their tour.
On their return to India, the delegation will submit a report on their study tour at a seminar at the Indian Institute of Public Administration.
