Ayurveda & Yoga training workshops in Trujillo (Peru) and University of Beni (Bolivia)

 

The Centro Cultural India, the cultural wing of Embassy of India in Lima organized two international workshops at Trujjio-Peru and Beni- Bolivia with support of EsSalud (largest public health agency in Peru) and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. These workshops were conducted jointly by Dr. Manmath Gharote (a visiting scholar and expert in philosophico-literary research in Yoga from Pune, India) and Dr. Aayam Gupta (Ayurveda Physician and Yoga Expert presently coordinating as Director of Centro Cultural India at the Embassy of India, Lima).

 

The 4 days intensive workshop of 40 hours duration on ‘Yoga for Holistic Health for Medical and Allied Health Professionals of EsSalud (February 23-26, 2017)’, in La Libertad region of North Peru. Fourty seven (47) medical and allied health professionals from different specialties of EsSalud attended the workshop in the High Complexity Hospital "Virgen de la Puerta" of EsSalud La Libertad, Trujjio on Feb 23-25, 2017. Another about (20) volunteer promotors of EsSalud also attended the practical session followed by an interactive session held on the last day (Feb 26, 2017) of the workshop at Complementary Medicine Clinic at Plaza de Armas, Trujjio.The opening ceremony for the workshop at Trujjio was held on Feb 23, 2017 at 10.00 am and was presided over by Dr. Juan Alberto Diaz Plasencia, who is the new Manager of the La Libertad Care Network, EsSalud replacing Dr. Juan Huber Mallma Torres. The guest of honor was Dr. Victor Alvarado Caceres, Regional Manager of Health, EsSalud.

 

Another two day International workshop of 12 hours on Preventive Healthcare through Ayurveda and Yoga (March 2-3, 2017)”  was successfully organized in collaboration with Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Beni “Jose Ballivian” in Trinidad, Beni, Bolivia. Twenty 26 participants were awarded certificates of participation for this workshop. The opening ceremony was held on March 2, 2017 (8.00 am) and was presided over by the Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences and the guest of honour was the Director of International Relations of the University. The Ambassador of India to Peru and Bolivia and Mayor of Beni were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor in the graduation ceremony respectively.
