India at the 3rd International Highlands Music Festival in Peru


Ranganitekan Manipuri Cultural Arts Troupe is visiting Peru to participate in the International Highland Music Festival being held from March 24 to 26, 2017 in the Parque de la Exposición in Lima.

Ranganiketan from Manipur will present their art in two styles, Dhon Dholak Cholom and Pung Cholom. Drums Dholak and Pung are the beat of Manipuri music and dance.

The group consists of six musicians; Brojen Kumar Singha Thingom, Th. Kullachandra Singh, Wangkheimayum Amarjit Singh, Premkumar Singh Lourembam, Angousana Singh Oinam and Tulsi Das.



The group will make several presentations in: the Indian Fair 2017 at the Exhibition Center of the Jockey Plaza, the University San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL), the National School of Folklore Jose Maria Arguedas and the Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano (ICPNA).
