Source India 2018 – India’s Premier Reverse Buyer Seller Meet in the Textile Sector.


To continue the impressive growth story of exports of Man Made Fibre and blended textiles from India, the Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) and the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is organizing the 2nd edition of India’s largest global Buyer-Seller-Meet (BSM) for the sector, Source India 2018 in Surat, Gujarat from 21-23, September 2018.  It will be the largest sourcing show for international buyers who are looking to source synthetic and blended textiles from India.

 

Source India 2018 is a focused B2B Show covering the entire value chain in Man-made Fibre (MMF) Textile products and its blends. Fabrics (that include Suiting, Shirting, Women’s Wear), Yarn, Fibre, Made-ups, Home Textiles and Technical Textiles will be showcased by the leading exporters during the event.  SRTEPC will assemble an array of more than 200 International Importers from more than 40 countries to transact business with more than 200 exporters in this sector from India.

 

India is the 2nd largest manufacturer and 6th largest exporter of Man-made Fibre Textiles in the world. India exports more than US$ 6 billion of MMF textiles to over 150 countries countries across the world. 

In this background, Chairman of SRTEPC Mr. Sri Narain Aggarwal held a Road-Show to promote Source India 2018 on 23rd July 2018 at Hotel Santa Cruz, Lima in association with Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), Indian Chamber of Commerce in Peru (INCHAM) and the Embassy of India.  Around 50 Peruvian businessmen from the textile sector attended the road show.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador M Subbarayudu highlighted the healthy growth in bilateral trade in the last financial year and the vast potential that exists to enhance the bilateral trade further.   Mr. Rohit Rao, President of INCHAM highlighted how the textile industry in changing the world over and how Peru can benefit from the advanced technology of India in this sector.   Mr. Sri Narain Aggarwal gave the presentation on Source India 2018 and welcomed participation of Peruvian importers in the fair.   Mr. Erick Valderrama of Russell Bedford Peru explained the audience how to form business relationship with India and the advantages of doing business with India.
