India gifts Computers and other learning material to Rabindranath Tagore School at Pueblo Libre, Lima, Peru.

The Government School No. 1076 was started in 1955.  The school is adjacent to the Tagore Park where there is a statue of Rabindranath Tagore installed by the local community.  In the year 2005, the students of the school, through a voting, decided to name their school as Rabindranath Tagore School.  Being a government school in a middle class society, the school was lacking some equipment for the use of the students and the teaching staff.    With the help of funds under grant-in-aid to countries in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region, items including Desktop Computers, Projectors with screen, Photocopying machine, Digital interactive board and Tent cover for the assembly area have been gifted to the school by the Government of India.

The items were handed over formally by Mr. M Subbarayudu, Ambassador of India to Peru at  an impressive ceremony organized at the school on November 29, 2018 in the presence of the students, the staff and Principal of the school, the parent’s representatives, local community and representative from Ministry of Education.
