To commemorate the 60th Republic Day of India, a function was held at the High Commission of India, London on 26th January 2009.The High Commissioner for India to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Shri Shiv Shankar Mukjerjee unfurled the National Flag which was followed by the singing of the National Anthem and patriotic songs.
 
The function was attended by the officers & members of staff of the High Commission along with their family members.
 
The High Commissioner read out the President's address to the Nation on the eve of the Republic Day.
