• General information

The Consular Section of the Embassy of India provides a variety of Consular Services to both Indian and non-Indian citizens. These include passport and related services, issue of visas, attestation of documents, other consular services, notary services, etc.

The Consular Section is located in the Embassy premises (Av. Salaverry 3006, San Isidro, Lima Tel : 51-1-4602289 / 2616006 / 4610371, Fax 51-1-4610374, e-mail : consular@indembassy.org.pe). The timings of the Consular Section are 9:30 AM to 11.45 m.

This Embassy provides consular services to persons in Peru and Bolivia. For the benefit of persons not located in these above-mentioned countries, see the jurisdictions of other Indian Embassies in Latin America.

The Consular Section welcomes information and suggestions for further improving its service as well as about problems being faced, if any, by Indian nationals in Peru and Bolivia.


How to apply for consular Services:


A. In Peru:

Visa/Consular services have to be applied in person at the Embassy. Completed visa application form(s) along with all required documents and the exact Visa/consular fee should be submitted at the Embassy by the applicant. The Visa/Consular fees have to be paid in cash in US Dollars by the applicant.  Payments made in Nuevo Soles, Credit Cards or Cheques are not acceptable.


B. From Bolivia:

Completed applications, along with necessary documentation and fees can be deposited with the nearest Honorary Consulate General of India in Bolivia. All the documentation will be sent to the Embassy of India in Peru. In addition to the visa or consular service requested, returning courier charges as well as US$ 13 for bank commission charges must be paid to the HCGs in Bolivia. All fees should be paid by bank draft (payable abroad with verified funds in US Dollars in the name of  Embajada de la India). Local or international personal/companies cheques or those special cheques issued by the Banco de Crédito de Bolivia payable at any branch of Banco de Crédito of Peru are not accepted. Please verify the visa fees list based on nationalities of the visa applicants as mentioned in Visa Fees.

The Embassy of India will not be responsible for any delay in the issue of visas due to non acceptable cheques.

Once the visas are issued, seven to ten working days are required to send the passports back to the respective Consulate General of India in Bolivia. Note that visas are issued once the fees have been  deposited in Embassy´s bank account.

 

Information 1: All consular fees are subject to change without prior notice. The current fee at time of applying will be charged.

Information 2: Fees once received for any Visa or Consular Service will not be refunded even if the application is rejected by the Embassy or withdrawn by the applicant.
