Passport services are normally rendered by this Embassy to only those Indian citizens living in Peru / Bolivia. In cases of emergency or special cases, persons not living in Peru / Bolivia (but present in these countries on short visits) can apply for these services. In such cases, they have to send a separate letter explaining why they are applying for the service in this Embassy and not in India or at the Indian Mission in their country of domicile.

The fees and other procedures given in this section are for applying in Peru by hand. Applicants applying from Bolivia must pay, in addition to the fees mentioned below, US $13 bank commission charges per cheque. Further, they have to pay US$ 32 courier charges each way (per set of applications) or use pre-paid courier for delivery of passport to and from Lima.

For availing of passport services, all applications must be accompanied by an appropriate application form, complete in all respects. Application forms can be obtained from this page or from the Embassy or Honorary Consulate General. Photocopies of forms can also be used.
